Nice to meet you, I am Paul Dockter the photographer behind the camera at Dockter Photography. Photography for me is about capturing a moment and sharing it with others. My audience has always been friends and family, so I created this site to share these moments with a wider audience such as you!
Having grown up in Alaska nature has always been my backyard and this experience instilled in me an appreciation for the unrefined beauty of nature and given me a desire to capture and share this beauty with others.
When I first got in to Photography my focus and passion was in hiking and Landscape but I have recently found that I enjoy the challenges of Wildlife Photography and have been growing my skills in that direction recently. The best part about this is that often these two elements coexist and most times you get the best of both on the same adventures.
My current backyard is the Pacific Northwest area surrounding Seattle, Washington. I enjoy getting out on weekends to explore nature or spend all day on the hunt to shoot (a photo of!) one of the many wildlife species that live in it.
