Part Two Take Two
With my legs stretched it was time to get back on to the boat since today I was doing a double header. The morning trip had taken us south, but for the afternoon trip we decided to go north in search of some reported Orcas. It did not take us long as we made our way around to the north side of Orcas Island near The Sisters Islands we found the T34’s and T37’s hanging out together moving along the shoreline.
The First Part One
oday will be my first doubleheader of the season and starting the day off the skies were clear but the air brisk. We headed south down past Port Townsend to the furthest I have gone south but the rumors proved true and the trip was worth it! We found a pod of Orcas that we were told was the T137’s. This was quickly confirmed thanks to the presence of T137A, Jack with his towering dorsal with two knicks in it.
Break In The Storm
With the Island Explorer 5 still out of commission for engine repairs the trip was on the Glacier Spirit which Pudget Sound Express was able to lend Island Adventures. The weekend had started out stormy so I was worried about this trip but as we headed out the skies cleared and the sun even made an appearance.
