J Pod currently contains 24 Orca Whales. Whales from J Pod are typically seen in the inner Salish Sea and are the pod I have encountered the most. commonly sighted pod. They are known to spend time on the west side of San Juan Island in the Haro Strait, but make trips down south as far as the Puget Sound near Seattle to chase seasonal Salmon runs.
